Environmentally Sustainable Information Technology

This wiki collects industry and consumer guides, and casual or RFC-like articles, that contribute to carbon neutral and environmentally sustainable information technologies, from cell phones and PCs to monster megawatt datacenters. The aim of the project is to become an encyclopaedia-style launch point, rather than a central repository, for relevant information.

Every producer of consumer products and every online service provider should be able to say "this is a carbon neutral product" or "this is a carbon neutral web page". Consumer awareness is increasing, as is demand for environmentally sustainable products and services.

Whilst anyone can contribute, this wiki is intended to attract engineers and designers, allowing them to skip corporate and political red-tape and share their ideas with the world.
